Class 1; you need to pedal. There are restrictions where you can ride e bikes. Class 1 is the least restrictive of the four.

electric assist mountian bikes, actually. I just bought an Intense Tazer MX Carbon. My goodness it is fun. 29" front wheel, 27 rear, Olins suspension, Magura brakes... the bitchen trails we used to be able to ride dirt bikes on are open to me again. My Altas are getting neglected...
