    General Suspension on the EX

Well, if you have information that the current KYB triple adjuster is different would you like to share that? Michael

    General Suspension on the EX

The KYB triple adjuster has been around for some time and actually inspired Jeremy Wilkey (MX-Tech) to make his own version. The dyno doesn't show much because this HSC adjuster is mostly effective at speeds above the capability of the dyno. There are several ways to build HSC adjusters. Here...

    New VARG Software Update.

Had my first real ride with the 1.5.0 firmware on my EX today and it was way more exciting than anticipated. First the easy part - forward crawl mode is a whole different ballgame now. It will climb until you start spinning the wheel as traction runs out or, which is a bit more delicate, the...

    New VARG Software Update.

Same here. It took me some time but now I almost automatically do it when having a get off on an incline - not doing it previously cost me 300€ for a new Arkenstone. While you can hold the bike with the throttle in gear, the moment you slip or loose your secure stand throttle control is...

    Yes, definitely as well. Michael

    New VARG Software Update.

I can confidently confirm the changes in crawl mode. There is a fairly steep incline leading up from my workshop and when I first got the Varg this was the initial playground to check out the new electric bike. Wanted to climb it in crawl mode, but it wasn't enough power to make it all the way...

    New VARG Software Update.

I can confirm that. My phone was turned off and tucked away in a box when I got the blinking Magenta light for the current update. Started the update and turned on the phone later to check for any visible changes. Michael

    New VARG Software Update.

My bike updated the firmware (and some other stuff) to 1.5.0 today. Took quite a while to complete so it must have been something major. No update to the app. AFAICT there are at least changes to the crawl modes. Forward crawl always seemed a bit weak while reverse crawl was pretty strong and a...

    Stark Starkvarg ex brakes

I think right and left side covers are identical on the Brembos, not mirrored. Michael

    Rear Brake Guard

Another +1 for the NiceCNC one - they make good stuff and for that price you can't go wrong. I have the 240mm version which helps rear brake control a lot IMO. Michael

Any recommended Lock on grips for the Varg?

Well, the Hirschmann throttle uses a hall sensor so you have to have something that triggers the sensor to determine throttle position. That's a ring segment shaped magnetic (I assume) piece that sits on the cam where you usually have the end of the throttle cable attached. Michael

Any recommended Lock on grips for the Varg?

That's awesome news as I'm a big fan of the lock-on grips and was hoping somebody somebody would come out with a proper adapter. Have been using the ODI universal set so far with good results, but full lock-on is just the better option for me - ordered a conversion kit right away. I assume the...

    I didn't measure voltage, sorry.

    XTRIG 22mm KTM Compatible?

No, they are different. But you can use KYB outer tubes with standard WP 48mm lower tubes and cartridges. Xact Pro (ConeValve) cartridges will not fit though - different thread pitch. Michael

Stark mobile charger is out !

I know, that's the # I was referring to - the actual charging current. Michael

Stark mobile charger is out !

Today I finally got to measure the stock charger with an amperage clamp meter on the AC side. Bike (EX) was at 60% when I started charging with 1kW raising the power to 6.6kW in 0.5kW steps in the app. Amperage would top out at 15.6A at around 3.5kW and then stay CONSTANT even though the Varg...

    WP suspension on a Stark

Seems to depend if you have the MX or EX, with the EX being more compliant. In comparison to current KTMs I consider the EX to be an excellent chassis! Michael

Stark mobile charger is out !

For the AC side I just use an adapter (plug and socket) with short single wires without a common sheath. One side of the adapter goes into the wall socket the other connects to the charger plug. Then you measure the amperage on a single wire (phase or neutral). Michael

How exactly does the throttle work?

It is just a coupler to go from the older generation JWPF connector as it came from Hirschmann to the current generation Higo style connector Stark uses now. Obviously they couldn't get Hirschmann to mount the Higo connectors first hand (or they have heaps of old Hirschmann throttles in stock)...
