    Stark Battery Tech Thread

Well that calculation of mine was with streetbikes now that i think of it. Might be better with Offroading espescially since the speeds (and thus wind resiatance) are lower and there is a lott more on-off throttle going on. The Stark EX has some life in it after most of our OTR events (some it...

    Stark Battery Tech Thread

I've once calculated that 1kWh is roughly 0,6L (efficiency etc taken into account). Most Enduro bikes have 9,5L. So roughly 15,8kWh is the proper replacement.

I actually am one of the few that has a decent case for them. Every sunday (when good wheater) a kart track is open for SM. For that i swap wheels and rotor adapter and crank the Compression on the fork to full. Since the track is not too big i can get away with it. The Starks drivetrain is...

But the 1.0 and 1.2 battery's are not interchangable due to the connectors. How stupid is that. Double logistics and "unsatisfied" customers who now cannot spend money on upgrades and are skeptical about buying a 1 year old model. I just see missed opportunitys here. Sure if they change an...

I'm more thinking smaller updates. Apart from the plug all the outer dimensions of 1.0 and 1.2 are the same. Doesn't seem like a huge amount of trouble to keep that the same in upgraded bikes. This method of new model every year depreciates value fast, making people less likely to just buy the...

If they want me to convince to put my money on the table he better talks about future battery's being fitting for the current EX.

I don't know. Details add up pretty well. However i would love to see photos of the other side.

    Exploding powertrain

Don't know if true or fake, but looks pretty real with good details like the screen jumping to red in the last bit. What do you think? My money is in a big short in the motor or a gearbox that locked up and pushed the rotor to the stator.

    Stark streetmodel spyshot

It would be a rather pointless bike for €13.000. But as a specced down €8000 A1 commuter weapon...

The big Stark Varg Supermoto pictures thread

Not a spectacular build, still fun. Slapped in some 24MX wheels, a big rotor, a caliper adapter and called it a day.

    Stark streetmodel spyshot

Luckily this site gets it directly (y) Notice it's placed under "Humor". I was running a picture of me and my bike through some AI to remove some background, but AI had other plans... Bit i do have to say that front fairing and look really neat!

    Stark streetmodel spyshot

Came across this spyshot of a Stark streetmodel. Looks to be based on the Varg platform.

    Talaria Komodo

I was a bit negative, let me rephrase that: Every manufacturer that thinks that can get away with less for an MX bike is wrong. Playbikes sure have a place of their own wich they fullfill wonderfully, but should be thought of as playbikes, not MX bikes.

    Talaria Komodo

Modern MX bikes are beefy for a reason. If a new manufacturer thinks they can get away with leaner (swingarm, frame, suspension etc) they are just wrong.

    Buying new or demo bike

I'm facing a bit of a dilema. Today i sold my back-up 2 stroke (still have a 300 2 stroke though). But that leaves a gap in the garage and i will not stand for that! However, my dealer has a Stark Alpha EX demo bike that entered registration April 2025 (so warranty started then. He has it for...

In SM, 100% not worth it. In MX? Maybe even less worth it than at SM. Revalve and reshim isn't gonna cut it. At this point your talking €3000 in special parts if you want an upgrade that is actually an upgrade, that after that will still need a revalve/spring and are not to the level of the...

    Educate me - Ultra Bee...

I think the UltraBee is a very dangerous moneypit. Not that's bad quality for its intended purposes, not at all, but it's easy enough to fall in the pit of upgrades and it has some cult status around that. However none of the more serious mods that really propel it forward are cheap. To get an...

    Educate me - Ultra Bee...

The suspension is in no way comparable to a serious MX machine. Power is much much much lower than the 450's. If your bike doesn't need a plate, the 1.0 MX depreciation is rather high. You can get a used Gen 1 one cheaper than speccing out an Ultrabee to where its almost half as capable as a Stark.
