    QS138 70H stuttering

I separated the sensor wires from the phase wires like Helienduro mentioned above, it made a big improvement but didn’t totally solve the problem. Lowering the max power setting seems to eliminate the shuddering. So I think i am able to just live with it. Thanks for the set up tip.

Bonnell 40hp and 60hp dirt bikes and e-bikes

I have this index finger trigger throttle for regen set up on my conversion bike with an EBMX X9000 controller. It’s great when street riding to use for braking. I don’t use it off road because it is more like an on / off switch and it’s hard modulate and to use going over whoops or cornering...

    QS138 70H stuttering

I have the same controller and the same studdering problem - it happens in a hole shot situation every time - full acceleration with good traction - if I lower the power level it stops - I will try the sheathing, do it put it on the sensor wires or the phase wires.

    Suzuki RM-E Build 2026

I will check out dirt tricks, Amazon / ebay didn’t have smaller ones

    Suzuki RM-E Build 2026

Common rear sprockets are 48-51 tooth - smaller rear sprockets are surprisingly uncommon - also changing gearing with front sprocket is much easier.

    Suzuki RM-E Build 2026

Thanks for helping out with this - I think I will contact JT sprockets to see if they can find a compatable sprocket - I street ride 50% of the time and because of current off road gearing I drain the battery quick

    Suzuki RM-E Build 2026

I asked Derek if he could get a 15T sprocket, he didn’t think there would be enough demand, basically said no.

    Suzuki RM-E Build 2026

Interesting - I have a 96volt build with the QS138 motor - my current gearing is 14:46 and it still over revs at mid throttle (which consumes more battery than it should) so have been trying to find a 15T front sprocket. Really like your 3D printed modelling, my work was much less refined.

One more thing, just visual observation but you motor sprocket appears to high relative to the swingarm pivot - do you have a way to compare to the position to the original motor.

Where did you get the 15T front sprocket and is it 520 chain. Also nice work

2019 KTM 450SXF Factory Edition Conversion to Electric Street Legal

I had a lot of set up problems with the FarDriver ND961000 where it would intermittently cut out - if you are going 96 volt recommend you pay the price and get the EBMX V3 - in the end I never fully resolved the problems with the FarDriver.

2019 KTM 450SXF Factory Edition Conversion to Electric Street Legal

My experience is you have to ride one of these conversions to really understand how well they perform, low center of gravity, super low speed response to super fast just by twisting the throttle. For people new to high power e-bikes better throttle control is needed as so much instant power but...

    Enduro 2005 Crf Build

For the Honda frame I would be curious if this shape at 9.5 inches wide would be more capacity than what you are proposing. If you figure out the volume of both shapes that would determine which shape would have more capacity. This would be the approximate size you could fit if you used the QS 138.

    My YZ Electric conversion build

That’s very clean, had a real close call on range recently so this is a potential solution. Can you share the outside dimensions and do you know what the pack weighs.

    Enduro 2005 Crf Build

Recall the EBMX X9000 V3 has increased voltage and other improvements vs V1 or V2. The older versions maxed out at 72 volt I think. I’ve got my max power set to 40 KW and 9000 phase amps which is slightly below max. - so far so good.

Also the QS138 V3 has all kinds of power and I have abused it pretty good in 100 degree weather, so far no issues with about 1000 miles.

    Enduro 2005 Crf Build

I built a 96 volt bike with the ND961000 controller and Amorge 96 volt 45 amp/hr battery (molicel p45). The power is perfect, you will love riding your bike. I had all kinds of problems with FarDriver controller with sudden cutting out. I had to upgrade to the EBMX X9000 V3 which is fantastic...

2019 KTM 450SXF Factory Edition Conversion to Electric Street Legal

Very nice, the Don Cox conversion really works well, like you said very low C.G. - battery can be swapped pretty quick and lower weight. I know you use the EBMX X9000 V3 controller, I found this index finger throttle for regen, it is easier to use than the thumb throttle type...

    Talaria Komodo

Totally agree, Sur Ron, Talaria are going after the biggest target audience and building good products that younger people can afford. It’s great because these companies are pushing the technology forward and creating a whole new market. I am hoping someone comes out with a $7,500 full size...
