    CR-E “250” Project

Still waiting on my new bigger battery from Amorge…..but regardless loving the bike. 10 miles of trails yesterday, quick charge and then 6-8 laps on the mx track. Gonna be hard to convince me to get back on an ICE bike unless it’s for dual sport/adventure riding.

    Suzuki RM-E Build 2026

Great work! You have files for the battery bracket??

    CR-E “250” Project

I’m seeing 10v or so and pulling less amps. But it’s because the overall size of the battery is small at only 34ah and the battery is 2-3 years old… molicel 42s which I assume are “tired” Either way no worries…..new way larger battery with better cells on the way from amorge

    CR-E “250” Project

Yes but it’s not two batteries of the same size. Same voltage yes but very different AH I do understand that they will discharge “evenly” if connected correctly but there’s still a bit of “danger” in running parallel

    CR-E “250” Project

Still an older 72v34ah using molicel 42s You’re probably right, I’m chasing my tail right now with this battery. I can see voltage drop a lot under acceleration. New battery should be here in a few weeks. It shipped right before the Chinese holiday. I’ll just keep getting the bike...

    CR-E “250” Project

So the project is ongoing. Refreshed the look, the suspension, and a few other things. Swapped the controller from a bac8000 to a Votol em260s which @DonCox helped me get going. I’m still waiting on my 72v65ah battery from amorge using 50xg cells. Along with am auxiliary battery which...

    Enduro 2005 Crf Build

I’ve not ridden the 160 but there’s no lack or bottom end power with the 138, and it’s probably more efficient. There’s no way you’re going to get that kinda range out of 50ah unfortunately. I’m building a bike for the same hare scramble/cross country races and distances that you are and...

    2007 CRF250R Custom Battery Cage

What kinda Amos are you running with that controller? How much power are you making? About 20kW or more? Any issues with it?

    CR-E “250” Project

I appreciate that. This is pretty much the conclusion I’ve come up with over the last week of reading.

    CR-E “250” Project

Yes I’ve really looked at using the Votol instead. It’s much more affordable. I want some sort of digital dash I know that. And I think I’ve seen your builds having something like that. Does the votol have a display that can be seen using iPhone or even an android? I need to get this...

    CR-E “250” Project

They are molicel 42s in the battery, as to what it puts out I really don’t know. But the bike will wheelie, it will do just fine as lower speed. Maybe im asking too much of it to power wheelie over stuff at speed. I’m used to my 450RL I suppose. The power curve just seems to really...

    CR-E “250” Project

@DonCox no worries as I said and you know I personally didn’t do the work, but it has held up for along while. However I basically bought the rolling chassis, just so happens it’s also a running bike. And fun at that. I picked it up with full intentions to make it better in many ways, from...

    CR-E “250” Project

I know you’ve built a few of these and have a good bit of knowledge. I also know you don’t know me from Adam With that said I find it a bit funny to dog someone’s welds, mind you I didn’t build this bike nor weld those spots, however the guy there did…whom I also don’t know other than meeting...

    CR-E “250” Project

Yeah rear hand brake I’m going to a larger battery yes and will either sell this or use it on another project….which I don’t want to afford lol

Built my mock up battery using some specs here. Make sure it fits then get with Amorge

    CR-E “250” Project

P42A cells I’d suggest 45B Most likely having Amorge build my battery and after some research I actually think I’m sticking with 72V and probably doing a 20S14P which with 45B cells should net me around 72V60-63ah

    CR-E “250” Project

Bike I recently picked up and looking to make it even better than it is. 2017 CRF250R 18” rear, and 250X forks QS138 V3 72V BAC8000 Home made 72V 34ah battery Gearing is currently 12/63 using a 428 setup, which I think I want to change. I have a 12T 520 front sprocket that came with the...

    2020 Honda CRF 450 Build

That makes sense. I’m pretty new to all this and it seems that most the builds are 72v Mine is also, using a BAC8000 But I’m planning a much larger capacity battery and while doing so it just seems to make sense to upgrade everything to 96v. Or it makes sense to me.

    2020 Honda CRF 450 Build

Dave is there a real reason you are doing 72v vs 96?

    My YZ Electric conversion build

Nice build. I’d like to see this “reserve” battery setup and what battery it is. The idea of carrying an extra “fuel bottle” seems good for adventuring
