Interesting video of the KTM electric "50" with a kids perspective

My son is outgrowing his standard Kuberg Cross. I intend to upgrade him to the Kuberg Cross X-force Pro, which is their "50" race bike. More power (8kW vs 5kW) and 16lbs lighter than the KTM, though with a slightly smaller battery (KTM 48V/21Ah, Kuberg 48V/10Ah). My only problem with it is...

First Enduro - OCCRA Round 6

Man, it was brutal. Practice was cancelled because one of the creek crossings had risen to waist deep and they were worried about people getting washed out. The water receded overnight but it was so muddy! And it was super slippery clay mud. They opened super early on race day for...

    How to get into racing

I wouldn't bother w/ the AMA to start. There is probably something like this where you are: Oklahoma Cross Country Racing Association As for learning, one of the members here recommended Shane Watts' videos. They are old school DVDs but have a bunch of good info in them. I've been following...

    Tempted to sell, kickstand woes

If you're looking for a fun, lightweight mountain-bike style bike I might have a Kuberg Freerider for sale. https://www.kuberg.com/en/freerider It's my wife's bike but I recently picked up this and she prefers it for running around the property: Buy Adult Electric ATV 1500W 48V Teen Quad...

Rad Shrouds are murder on my knees

I always ride w/ knee braces and haven't noticed the rad shrouds. I'm 5'9", 32" inseam. Also, I don't do anything crazy - single track and XC racing. Only time I'm on an MX track is on the junior one with my 8 and 5 year olds.

    Daymak, Various EV’s

Thanks for sharing! My son is 8 now and is outgrowing the current ATV we have: Super Sport 36V 500W Kids 4 wheeler ATV + FREE Shipping -Orange Looks like their "Grunt" may be a step up from there (800W vs the current machine's 500W).

Looks a lot like the Kuberg Freerider/Challenger.

    EXR/MXR Maps

I find it odd that you feel the MXR has better top end. IIRC the EXR has a 13T front sprocket and the MXR a 12. So the EXR should have higher top end no?

Edit I did for my 5 yrold when he’s 30 last weekend

If he's on the bigger side I would check out the Kubergs. My son started on an Oset 12.5 then moved to a Kuberg Cross (Oset didn't have the MX10 then). Seat height is 25", bars are 32.5". 3kW motor. It has 16" wheels and LHRB. You can set power/torque and top speed separately. They have the...

First Enduro - OCCRA Round 6

Thanks for the posts and for the tire reco. I'll wear these out and then give yours a shot. Let us know what you end up doing for handles/straps. What all do you carry with you when on a moto?

First Enduro - OCCRA Round 6

Hi Everyone, While I've been a roadracer for ~20 years, I've only been riding dirt since September, 2018 (the Alta is my first dirt bike). I've enjoyed riding around but I really want to complete to give me something to practice towards. I don't think Motocross is for me. I found that we...

Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

Thanks! It's a "do as many laps as you can in 90 minutes" style of race. Each lap is between 6 and 12 miles long but from what I've read they are usually closer to 6. I've never ridden for 90 minutes continuously so I'm just going to see how I do. I plan to write up something in the Racing...

Display Guard - Protect it from crashes!

Installed mine onto my EXR last weekend. It was way simpler than I thought. I just took out the two screws from the triple clamps, dropped the Vault over the display, and installed the 2 longer screws that came with the Vault. I saw the tabs but my vault is right up against the top triple...

Interest Check- Owners joining together to file class action lawsuit

IANAL but I agree w/ @leeo45 IMO the only people who will win anything will be the lawyers. Who exactly are you going to sue? Faster, Faster/Alta is dead. BRP bought the stuff of any value. Blood from a stone and all that. Further, the info we want has been sold to BRP so Armanino/Faster...

    Brake Mod and Foot Pegs

Did the YZ pegs fit without modification? I'm planning to do my first enduro in May and it may be muddy. I haven't been in really muddy conditions yet but I'd like to head off any potential problems ahead of time.

    ALTA negatives

The whole concept of a foot-operated brake was a compromise as it was "better" to put the clutch on the handlebars. Put on a LHRB and don't look back!

    Knee braces - which one?

I use the EVS Axis Sport but have never tested them. I also ue the Leatt Knee Brace pants and they work well.

    OSET bikes

Interesting. Very close in spec to the Kuberg Cross X-Force Pro 50. Heavier but larger battery. Sadly, both the HVR and X-Force Pro have their rear brakes on the foot. My kids have always had left-hand-rear-brakes on their Osets and lesser Kubergs. Foot brakes are dead people! :ricky:
