You definitely don’t take a chance with customs, especially if thousands of dollars are at risk. Of course they will know that they are electric bikes and will specifically look if the motor is removed. @metallic88 Thanks for the info!!

Because bikes without and engines/motors have a lot lower import tariffs, so it’s quite a bit cheaper shipping everything separately.

Hello everyone! I’m shipping 2 bikes overseas but I need to take out the batteries and the motors and ship them separately. Could someone point me in the right direction where I can get information how to go about taking them apart without getting electrocuted?😂😂 Many thanks!
