Had a fun riding day at Metcalf Motorcycle Park in San Jose today. It started out pretty foggy, but we saw about as many Altas in one spot as we are bound to see for a while. We ran into a few founders as well. I finally met Derek, Jeff, Nathan, and Derek’s daughter. With their four bikes, my two bikes, and the Metcalf rangers running their Altas. It was practically an Alta takeover. Pretty cool.

Definitely time to get some organized rides in the Bay Area.

If you guys head a little south I would love to bring my 2 MXRs up, hell I'd probably make the drive up to San Jose with a couple weeks notice. I'm stationed in Point Mugu.

My son and I having some fun at Carnegie OHV in Tracy, CA, on the 4th of July holiday riding our Alta Redshift dirt bikes. Not a lot of folks out there that can claim they ride dirt bikes made right here in the good ol’ U.S.A., but we can!

Nice but…
You should try riding with your tyres actually on the dirt. Accelerating, turning, braking… it works really well. Not for Knack Knacks I suppose.

Yeah, that is my son. He was practicing jumps today.

I personally never get the wheels off the ground no matter how hard I try! No wheelies, no jumps. I strictly obey the laws of gravity, especially the ones that apply to old fat men riding two-wheeled, wobbly bikes. Me and the ground are like two black holes trapped forever in a death spiral of infinite gravity, getting closer and closer with each passing day, never to be separated.
