Privateer I didn't realize you were that close... do you ride up at RAC? That's basically in my back yard.

I mostly ride in the Altoona area, although I live in the DC area. I've been looking for a reason to go to either of those parks. With good riding right out of my in-laws backyard it is impossible to convince them to go pay for a place to ride, but if we get an Alta event scheduled I'd definitely be down.

Did we talk about this before? In that direction there are some great tracks (if you do tracks). Rocket Raceway off the Fort Littleton I76 exit and Breezewood proving grounds is you go further to the Breezewood exit. Rocket has been one of my regular spots, nice outdoor style track and a big woods loop.

Why choose just one? Why not a different site every few months, taking advantage of the weather for each. More southern locations in wet winter months, more north for summer events. Would give me an excuse to get out of Washington rain more often.

And an opportunity to try myself at a MX track, something new.

Yeah, I asked where you rode up there. I'm not much into track riding, but we should definitely carve out a few weekends this summer to try all these places. I don't have a lot of extra time to travel too far, but I'd be up for any type of meet in the mid-atlantic/northeast area. That 24-hr race does sound like fun though. I might have to try that next year.

Hell, we could have East coast and a West coast dates too. I was hoping we could meet in the middle somewhere but I'm not familiar with the middle of the country. Utah, AZ, Co, mid West...

For the west coast, Kennedy Meadows is an epic trail ride, located at about 7000 feet elevation. Make sure your heart and lungs can handle that! Colorado folks will do fine.

Is this better? Or not? The location would show in a full-size browser or on a tablet. It will not show in a compact mobile view, so you will still have to click on user names for a pop-up with details.

I'm stationed in Jacksonville Florida until June next year when I move back to Southern California. I'm all for a meet up in the Carolinas. When I get to California I'm free to ride basically every weekend!
