BCU board needed ?

hello guys
so my alta wont start , the display show a totally empty battery and says not ready to start when pushing the start button and i do not hear the relay engaed (normal i guess)
the water pump start half a seond on when i turn the key on and then stop for ever
other than that nothing ! no error code!
so i remove the pak battery and open this one for the first time and right away i was really surprised by the quality of the welding of the first board i saw! ( i think the bcu board )
then i unbuild my second alta to compare both board ( pitures below ) and also try the good board in the "wrong bike " to make sure there is no trouble anymore and everything is fine
from my non professional point of view my bad board seems to be made by a beginner lol for real it remind me my welding at school , burning the board all around lol , anyway!
i'm not a electrical engineer and i'm sorry if i look like i disrespect the work made on this board

Id be really curious to know the VINs of these bikes. Also furthermore your statement of "quality" is also interesting. We went through different PCBA vendors at Alta who had "issues" with performing quality work.

Not only that there has been an ongoing process of fixing top covers (BCUs) which successfully alleviates the issue.

That BCU was definitely repaired at some point. There is a coating applied to the boards after they are manufactured and it’s clear that the coating is not present on the repaired/replaced components of the board with the problems.

Make sure to ask Liquid if the CAN Bootloaders are all installed before you buy. Otherwise, it'll be an expensive paperweight.

All BCUs from Liquid have Bootloaders. There expensive.

So based on the VIN vintage it looks like it definitely left with a BCU that was from a not great vendor.

All BCUs from Liquid have Bootloaders. There expensive.

I wonder why the BCUs got loaded and none of the other electronics did . . . . . (ie DCCPs, ACMs, etc). Good if you need a BCU, however. At least until they're all gone.

BCU, DCCP, ACM, Display and Inverter PCBAs had released bootloaders with our vendors. So that its public at this point, the ACM bootloader had sensisitve components which were related to VIN/Mileage - which was a bit concerning with the FW team. Hence why the ACM boards are bricks.

BCUs at Liquid are for R packs only.....not A packs.

Looks like my explanations fall on deaf ears in the forum or @Philip likes to hide my posts now...who knows.
