The OEM Side Stand kit Stark sent has the old style bracket so I'm sending it back.

What's out there for replacement kits Ali or others?

I don't need/want auto return.

I'm perfectly satisfied with the original oem side stand (after adding the screw mod and cutting off the auto return spool).

I could tolerate the mods needed but the old style bracket that came with the kit is is a deal breaker for me and Stark is using up NOS before going 100% with the new updated bracket.

Yea, they really screwed the early adopters on the kickstand bracket.
Originally they said everyone would receive a new corrected bracket free of charge.
Then they seemed to forget all about saying that, and just kept sending out the same pos bracket.
My original one broke and they sent me a new one (same as original).
But I welded it and it's still working.
And they have sent me at least one more of the original pos bracket.
Sorry, I don't know of any aftermarket except maybe Racetork.

FYI from Stark as of this month:

Thank you for contacting us.
As of now, the new side stand bracket is not available in our spare parts inventory for warranty replacements.
The allocation of parts for new production bikes and for aftersales support can sometimes differ due to supply chain and production planning constraints. This means that while some new bikes may be delivered with the updated part, we are not always able to offer it immediately as a replacement part for existing bikes until sufficient stock is available for aftersales distribution.

Feel free to let us know if there is anything else you'd like assistance with.

I just bought this one and received it yesterday. I haven't installed it yet, but it looks nice: (see below). I did the screw mod and it keeps on falling out even though I used loctite. I'm puzzled why it keeps on falling out.

I had just that bracket. But the screws came out and ripped the thread. My bad for not using threadlocker and retightening it after some time.
Furter it worked like a charm, you could do pivot turn on the sidestand with that bracket. Just thinking about that will snap the OEM.

Ordered it again with their complete sidestand. Will use threadlocker and retightening it this time:rolleyes:

My kickstand bracket snapped in two last night. I barely put any weight on it. This is the first time that I've broken a kickstand or bracket in 35 years of riding motorcycles. I just emailed Stark. We'll see if they mail me the updated bracket or the same weak factory piece. I may have to install some chinesium on the bike.

I now have the complete Chinese sidestand. Much stiffer and a wider foot. I think it's much better even if the OEM didn't break.

I recently received the new style Stark kickstand bracket on a warranty claim.
It looks good, but I haven't installed it yet, because the one I welded is holding up well, and with the screw mod, the lean is perfect.

wfopete,

I'd love to have your original bracket, it works perfectly when converting any model stark to supermoto. Would you be interested in mailing it to me?

Thanks,

Jasperfield

Unfortunately I'm working with Stark to get a RAN (Return Authorization Number) to return the kit.

The chinese should just make a copy of the whole bike im sure it would work better.
Ya. Now that the market is established and the innovation sells it would be great if the Chinese swooped in and bought the whole kit and kaboodle. Could you imagine a Stark Varg with much better range and $4000.00 dollars cheaper and more reliable build quality. Fucking politicians.

That's the only way we'll get this cool ejectable battery system and Formul1 pit stop times.

Go and ride any Chinese Dirtbike. Their expensive ones for fair comparison.

They just can't seem to figure out how to make a proper riding one E or ICE.
The EXE880 is closest in the E market. The price gap is 2000, but in way of performance the gap is much wider.
