Brand New Stark Varg EX Won’t Start — No LED, No Charging, No Bluetooth, No Response

Hi everyone,

I’m having a serious issue with my brand new Stark Varg EX, which has less than 2 hours of riding time and has never been crashed or dropped. I’ve only taken it out for short rides on the street (4 times total), and it ran perfectly — until today.

Here’s what happened:
  • After 2 days of inactivity (bike stored safely in my garage), I tried to start it, but got no LED activity, it won’t start, no charging response, and no power at all.
  • The battery was at 60% the last time I checked.
  • The only thing I did differently after my last ride was locking the bike via the Stark app (Settings > Lock your bike)
  • Now the Stark Arkenstone phone can't connect via Bluetooth — it's like the bike is completely powered off.
I’ve already tried the following without success:

  • Pressed and held the power button for many seconds — no response.
  • Tried power button combinations (+/- buttons) — still no response.
  • Even after plugging in the charging cable, no blue LED lights up, and pressing the power button again yields nothing.
The bike simply feels completely dead.

Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Any advice or troubleshooting steps would be very helpful before I contact support.

Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: Someone from a Facebook VARG group mentioned that the bike may have been left powered on (even just in standby mode), which could fully drain the main battery—and possibly even deplete the smaller secondary battery in the VCU.

While this explanation makes sense for longer idle periods, my case was only a 2-day gap with the battery left at 60%. According to SAM, the VARG AI, it’s unlikely that the battery would drain completely in such a short time:

"In standby mode, the bike will consume a small amount of power to maintain essential functions. However, a 60% charge should typically last for several days in standby mode without significant issues.

After 2 days in standby, you might expect the battery to drop to around 50-55%, depending on the specific power draw of the bike's electronics. This is usually manageable and should not cause any immediate problems."

press the red button it should come on
it is no use trying to connect the phone when the bike will not power up

Unless it is a button issue( which happens a lot)
I would say you need a dealer to fix your bike
Reliability issues are a major problem with stark vargs
Hope you kept your piston bike .
You will need it a lot for when the stark dosnt go
breaks down
or is on charge

The power button, along with the + and - buttons, does nothing—I’ve tried every possible combination, but there's no response. The bike won’t start and feels completely dead. What’s especially strange is that just two days earlier, it was working just fine. I left it in standby mode (blinking red LED) with 60% battery in my garage, and now I’m wondering if that might have caused a total battery drain—and possibly affected the VCU as well, which I suspect might be the issue.

What was the battery level at the end of your ride?
