Had a nice downpour and was out riding in the mud, went down and broke the map controller, found the cover/switches but not sure if it’s missing some guts, also had to ride home in a flash flood to internals got quite wet. Dried it out, cleaned it with some electrical cleaner but no use. Any suggestions for replacement?

It looks to me like the switch PCB was reinstalled backwards, with the switches facing in rather than out towards the buttons.

It is standard convention for the switches to be on the same side of the PCB as the silk screen symbols. To me it looks like the switches have been sheared off and are still in the mud. It looks fixable with replacement switches and a soldering iron.

I realize, but figured the chances of all switch leads shearing off cleanly while leaving the front of the housing intact were pretty small. Probably best to replace the whole thing anyway since it's available, the threads are surely roached from the main screws ripping out..

At first I thought that too, but then i zoomed in and took a closer look. If the switches were all present and on the bottom side you would expect the sharp part of the pins to be protruding from all of the pads. However, a number of pads seem to lack this and it even looks as if the copper of some pads has lifted off the PCB or started to lift.

I've been too - the more I look, the more I wonder. :) In addition to the pad stuff you mentioned, it also looks like there may be 3 small burns? near the top row's 3 RH pad locations. Idk.
