MCO arrived this week, took all my paperwork to the DMV.
With the MCO and VIN verification done by CHP I was finally able to title it and get the CA green sticker!

Anyone have updates on the green sricker red sticker situation…? This is now what’s in all starks here in San Diego.

The dealer says they just found out no green sticker for stark. Treated just like a 2 stroke.

What a joke.

See above posts for how I got my green sticker. Share with your dealer, see what they say. My guess is they don't have the MCO in hand.

I did see that, and even grouchy it up to him. He said he has the mso but they were told CARB doesn’t recognize the bike and your situation must be a rare situation. He said they will give me a red sticker.

It’s just amazing to me how wrong these dealers are on so many things….

After reading through this post, wow California BLOWS! LOL. Here in Jersey it was a breeze to get the Alta titled and street legal registered. They don't require a bike inspection, and all you need is a head light and brake light. I don't even have those on the bike now, lol. I guess the Stark is a different story, but I won't buy one until it can be made street legal. It's just too much of a hassle when I have to do 2 mile road transfers. There's a million cops in my town.

It have something to do with the Alta being made in the USA. The Stark is made in Spain?

Homologation. Because the Stark was never homologated as a road vehicle, its tough by some DMVs to get titled and legally plated. The VIN on the Stark isnt actually a 'VIN' its more like a serial number (Zero MX dirbikes followed the same structure a very long time ago)

For CA, yes the process sucks. But its actually pretty straightforward to do it on an Alta. It actually got easier with the CARB exemption thats in this post. Ive plated my MX with no issues with the CHP or the DMV (DMV actually thought my bike was made in Brisbane, AUS...which was quickly updated)
