Display screen too "dark"

I just bought a 2018 EX used from TJ's Cycle and am new to Altas. Has anyone else seen a display screen that has its contrast set so "dark", you can only read it an a very low angle? Is there a setting to fix this, was it smashed and/or does it need to be replaced?
Any thoughts are appreciated. Check out these 2 pics 1 looking from the left side and 1 from bottom at a low angle then 1 pic looking straight on. The screen looks like all the lcd pixel-squares are all black but at an angle presents the info and is barely legible:

Hard to tell if the display took some shock, almost looks like a loose connection.

There are no adjustments for that problem that I've ever heard of unfortunately.

I checked the connection going into the back of the screen's housing...If I press hard enough the screen is at the right contrast but as soon as letting go it goes back to opaque.

Sounds like the crystal board is damaged. You can try tightening the small screws to see if the pressure will help, but more sounds like a display board swap.

This was a demo-bike and it looks like the only maintenance it had from the dealer was pressure-washing. Will take apart the display housing this weekend and check to see if there are any short-circuits, burn-marks, etc. and report back. Thank you so much and saw you have display boards available.

Check for tiny cracked solder joints.

OK - regarding the connector plugging into the housing of the screen: is it a twist-off or just pull straight down?

If you could provide instructions I will probably opt to send you my entire display unit for a swap. Let me know about how to unplug the display so I can do a final check before ordering the swap.

The screen is actually soldered on to four little micro pins to the PCBA. So far in dis-assembly of displays (Ive torn apart quite a few) many are dead from thermal shock.

OK - what about removing the cable that plugs into the back of the display housing? Is there a way to remove it without killing it?

There is a beige connector which plugs the display into the main vehicle harness. From there the mechanical disconnect is off of the headlight bracket.

Thank you for rebuilding my display board! I can see the screen now and it looks like brand-new! It went back on the bike last night and works perfectly - thanks again Rashid510.
