I actually picked up a used 2007 yzf that someone had put the Electric and Co kit in. I then got the suspension redone by the same guy who done my Starks.

My opinions are strictly for trail riding, I haven’t raced either one of them (yet)
I was an A woods racer 20+years ago, so I would say mid-B level now.

i actually picked up the yzf first, and like it so much, I bought a stark.

The YZF is a bike I am very familiar with, and I do like the 209 Lb weight much better. Battery life tho is about half what a Stark is. Not sure if that has anything to do with previous owner’s charging routine, or the battery’s age. It only has (3) settings, 20hp, 30hp, and 40hp. Switching back and forth from 20 and 30, I can get 3 hours trail riding . But, when practicing/pushing on our gncc-style trail, 80 minutes is tops.
Of course; the Stark has so much more “tun-ability”. I set the Stark to 20 and 30 and tried to mimic the same switch up spots and I got 150 minutes.

I do realize if I could still
run a solid A-pace for more than 20 minutes, it would be hard to complete a 2-hr race on the Stark. It would be impossible to complete an 1 1/2 hour race on the Yamaha tho.

But for the trail riding days, these electric bikes have spoiled me for sure!
