I can pleasently report two MX track upgrades for e-MX bikes here in Northern Italy:
• a guy working at a track where I used to ride my YZ250, back in 2024, suggested to bring a generator to recharge my then new Varg because, for them, giving me just 1 kW of power was problematic. They have changed management since then and the new management has said that now it's possible to recharge a Varg (but I don't ride there anyways now because with the new track layout there are huge jumps and I don't want to die).
• Last year I was riding at another track where they only had one 3.5 kW plug available; there were other plugs but they could only provide like 500 W. Since there were two other Vargs that day, we had to share that plug and of course this was limiting our riding time. The personnel at the track said that they wanted to upgrade the electric system to allow simultaneous Varg charges. Well, yesterday I went there and indeed there were some cabinets in the track parking lot, each having like 7 plugs and all the plugs of all the cabinets were capable of providing 3.5 kW, although they said that with many people connecting to the same cabinet the current could have been limited, without specifying how much power each cabinet was capable of. Surprisingly, the current for the day used to cost 10 € and now it costs 5 €.
