The founders are from Sweden. Perhaps the company was first registered there, i'm not really sure. Stark means strong in Swedish. So "strong future" is the company name and "strong wolf" is the name of their bike :D

Edit: found this info:
In 2022, Eicher Motors Ltd., the parent company of Royal Enfield, invested €50 million in Stark Future, acquiring a 10.35% equity stake.

So one could assume the enterprise value of the company sits around 500 million Euro.

I wonder whether it wouldn't be better for some of those companies to try and merge to unite their resources instead of being alone: maybe they would somehow be stronger.
I like that Alta's former CEO now works at Flux, for example.
A thread about On Powersports has been created some days ago here. It's cool to see interest in this field, but here is another new company that supposedly still has a lot to learn. I wish there was a giant among them; someting like Tesla looks unachievable to me since a small fraction of people use dirtbilkes while most of the people use cars, but something like KTM (just an EV version) sounds feasible. As far as I know Stark Future is not a startup anymore but it isn't a giant; at least not yet. I think it has potential. Surron and Talaria seem to be pretty seccessful, too; maybe they could start making some more performant motorcycle with components from reputable brands and people would trust them because they are already known.

A good source for this kind of information is the Insight EV newsletter - they are reporting on electric two-wheelers. It's a free subscription.

Big news in the industry is the huge progress in Indian and Vietnam companies and that's not well-covered by the table above. For examples, the two biggest companies in India are Ola Electric with a market cap of US$3.75 billion selling maybe 250,000 bikes per year and Ather Energy with a current IPO at US$1.4b selling 100,000 per year.

Also interesting is their take on the Stark - it's not a global product. Stark apparently have zero sales in India. Looking at their dealer map, there's some clear gaps, like only one dealer in Japan and one in South Korea. Five dealers in China but that's not many. NZ has the same number of Stark dealers for five million people, not one billion.

According to that, Stark would have already made more bikes than Alta, Brammo, HD/Livewire.

They could soon annually make more bikes than Zero and Surron.

I fear some numbers are way off, as ever with AI, like it says 1000 for BMW when they've been selling about 7000 of their €14k electric scooters every year. Probably more or less level with Stark for 2024, different crowd though 😁
