Looks like they are having tons of fun playing around with old Tesla motors and battery packs and stuffing them in all kinds of vehicles. Having fun while making money... living the dream.

The forks on that MXR appear to have a quad ring failure (stuck compressed half way).

The 2018 AERs should have the new seal head that replaced the quad ring of the previous AERs, but yes, it does look that way!

About half of the MXR's we picked up have this problem with the AERs. We've talked with Precision Concepts and they have a nice service that will replace the o-ring, and piston with 2019 parts, and valve accordingly for about $300.

That’s interesting. Everything I have seen indicated that 2018 was the first model year of the new air seal/piston in the AERs. If you decide to have one done, ask for the old parts back to confirm. Are the bikes affected all 2018 models?

Left side (blue seal) is new design, right is the 2016-2017 design. The air side of the AERs are not difficult to service.
