It is a statistical formula that the manufacturer has calculated, and if you are the "average" rider, you are going to lose money. That doesn't mean it isn't worth while to you in particular, but you might want to keep that in mind when determining if it is more economic to buy it than not. If you don't mind throwing money away, then burn baby burn.
100% right. I wonder what the underwriter used for benchmark data? There must be a good amount of metrics compiled from our bikes. Warranties on dirtbikes especially machines that are largely used by early adopters are incredibly risky --unless they are not.

One thing that might be is that the markups on parts that do fail have huge built in margins and don't cost nearly as much to replace (to Stark or the insurer) as the sticker in the Stark store indicates? And the actual metrics perhaps show things don't break as much as the internet indicates?🤔
