UPDATE!!!
The bike just updated to the latest firmware of V1.0.159 I have the moonwalk setting and crawl mode! I'm going to go test the bike at the track on Friday to see if the throttle issue still occurs but at least now one of the two issues has now be resolved.
The workaround I used was taking the Stark phone, uninstalling the app, and then reinstalling it. I had tried this before to see if it would fix the issue, but I had no success. It seems like you might need to do it a few times before it works. This was my third or fourth attempt. Here are the steps that I did.
1) Hold down on the app to pull up a pop up that says "app info" then tap on it and it will take you to a different menu.
2) At the top of that menu there are three dots and if you tap on them it pops up with "uninstall updates" tap on it and agree to uninstall the updates. The app will go back to being called Stark Varg and its V1.145 or something like that (some older app version).
3) Once you open the Stark Varg app it will say that it need to be update. Then it will take you to the google play store and you go through the normal procedure for updating the app.
4) Once the app is updated, open the app and it will ask you to login to your stark account. Then hit confirm and turn on the bike and go through the normal process of connecting the bike to the phone.
5) Once the bike connects the app will open up and you should get a pop up box saying that an update is need. Click on it to confirm and then another pop up box comes up with "refer a friend", close that and you should start seeing the magical multi-colors flashing on the map switch that indicate that the bike is updating.
I let the bike finish its update, and it started flashing green like it does in neutral—but this time, it was flashing much faster. I pressed the down button, and the bike did a hard shutoff. After that, the bike and the app weren’t connected anymore. I could tell because the Bluetooth icon turned red, and the battery indicator on the Home Screen had a line through it. I turned the bike back on and checked the firmware in the settings, but it still showed the old version, V1.0.110. So, I closed the app, reopened it, went back to the settings menu, and there it was, V1.0.159!
I did other smaller steps prior to this like turning off wifi, trying to make a call with wifi off and on to my personal cell, and turned on another data setting for the Varg app before I did the steps above, but I don't think they had anything to do with upgrading the firmware.
