Hey everyone, DISCLAIMER... This worked for me and I live in Idaho near the west coast of the USA. No promises it will work for you. And no tattling on me to the DMV. Be Nice to them and smile a lot. It will go a long way. Idaho has lots of mountains and farms and a few big cities. The only legal requirements for a motorcycle are, License plate, brake light, Headlight, Insurance, an Idaho Title and mirror. Has to pass emmisions (that wont be a problem). So I have been working on getting my Stark MX licensed and I HAVE DONE IT! The VIN does not show up in the DMV (Department of Motor Vehicles) data base, but they eventually just added it manually. The key for me was that I got my Bank to fill out the application for title with a MC for "Body Type" instead of MB. I flirted with the lady at the DMV to get that answer. She says they can't license Body Type MB because it is offroad only. My Bank did not care. I just asked them to fill it out the way I wanted, and they did it. They don't know better. There were lots of errors on the first application for title so I helped them re doit. They still got the "Make" wrong if you look at the picture it says "STORK" not STARK. The VIN has to match on alll the docs. Insurance, Bill of Sale and Title. I showed them the bike and that it had all the items required on the list, and they agreed. Boom! I am legal.
I used some large adhesive action cam mounts to do the headlight and the plate assembly. I got a Mirror that is easy to remove with one screw for offroad. I have a small light I use for road riding that does not look wierd, and I have a much brighter light I use for offroad. They just swap out with the action mount screw. I fabricated the license plate assembly by using one from Amazon, and grinding the holes a bit bigger. I also ended up cutting off some parts I did not need. The tail light is one of those that uses motion to tell when you are braking. It gets brighter when I slow down. It is also USB rechargable and will work for like 20 hours before I have to charge. Anyway. I am super happy with it, and everythign comes off easy if I want to go to offroad only.
