Flexx Bars on SV MX

I mounted Flexx Bars on my SV MX. For fun, I added a GPS mount and light bar. Below are the parts I needed to make it work. There is some fabrication to mount the SV phone cradle on the Flexx Bars, and mount bonus the Montana GPS and light bar to the Flexx Bar GPS mount . Attached are templates and drawings if you want to do it yourself.

More Pics. First pic below is the bracket below to mount the GPS and light bar is made from aluminum 1.5 x 1.5 x .125 angle. Note the front brake cable clears the bracket. Second pic below is the modified flexx bar gps mount (buy from flexx bar company) modified with through holes to mount the SV phone cradle and clearance for the phone cradle wiring. Third pic below shows the bonus Garmin gps and light bar that can be added to the flexx bar. The Garmin GPS cradle is from Garmin and can be found on amazon as a wired (power) and non wired version. Mine is the non wired version as there is no 12V source on the SV MX version.

In order for the SV phone charger cable to reach to the new position on the flexx bar dash mount, the cable needs to be pulled a bit to reach. Cut the zip tie, pull the cable up, and zip tie again.

If you only want to mount the SV phone, then only use the Flexx Bar GPS mount template to modify the Flexx Bar GPS mount. Print the pdf 1:1, cut out the template, and tape it onto the Flexx Bar GPS mount to drill mounting holes for the SV phone cradle and slot for SV phoe cradle cable routing clearance.
