EDIT: This events new date is to be rescheduled sometime June or July. I will update the thread when the dates are announced.

Since we are slowly getting some other Alta owners in my part of the country, I wanted to share this opportunity to shake off winter for an upcoming free ride day at one of my favorite Pennsylvania tracks.

Awhile back shortly after I got my MXR I had wrote a short ride review of this track in my thread HERE
This track has just changed hands and a New England track owner is expanding his operation and offering a free ride day at this facility. You can read his Facebook announcement HERE

If anyone is thinking of attending, let me know.

Thanks for letting us know, I think I might take you up on this! Let's hope it warms up a little for it. What's the charging situation..I still haven't gotten a generator yet.

Definitely hoping for at least a dry weekend. Last few years have been tough for some of these tracks, too much rain. Current charging situation is BYOG (did I just coin a new term?). New owners claim they are installing RV services in the future, but nothing would be in place for the opening event. If it looks like you are going I have a few ideas, so let’s just keep eyes on the weather and see how it goes. Remind me to bring your charcoal chimney with!

Forgot about that. Maybe this will be the practice I need to be ready for the 24 Hr NE Challenge 2021.

There is an outstanding woods loop there, very underrated. Very similar to the terrain at Tall Pines. They run some hare scrambles there a few times a year. Right now it still belongs to the property owners and wasn't included in the track lease, so how it will be handled remains to be seen. I'm pretty confident I could get permission to run on it if you ever want to check the place out, grand opening day or otherwise.

I will still be in Arizona at that time. Otherwise, I would drive to the other end of the country for a free track day! LOL, not really, but it would be very cool to check out Steve's favorite track and meet you all guys again

The new owner (leasee?) has a track 1/2 a mile from my workplace, MX23, in Mass. It's been there for years but the town has been trying to shut it down for years due to the noise.
I had a project at work where I needed to go to the local P&Z meetings to get a building permit. I had been a customer at the track for a while, but I was floored how negative the town was as well as people who had just bought a house on the other side of the rail road tracks. Why buy a house near an operating track then bitch about the noise? Don't buy the house! (This is a pet peeve of mine, Thompson Speedway in CT had the same issue. A developer bought the sand pit next to track, put up a dozens houses, then it was lawsuits for a decade over the noise!)

Honestly, if idiots didn't bounce the RPMs off the limiter while they were in the parking lot, it would make for happier people all around. I can't even hear my Alta when I'm near those guys! lol

Correct, leasee. Seems his attraction to this specific track was that there are no restrictions at this time.

Gotta love the nit-wits in the parking lots. These are the same ones bitching how expensive it is to rebuild a four stroke
