Just a heads-up - both my front brake caliper's right-angle cotter pins (Brembo p/n 5454232) were gone, and the pad-retaining pin was barely hanging on with @ 2mm engagement. 
The first time I removed these things I didn't like how easy they came off, I'll use straight bend-type cotter pins from now on.
