Hi everyone. I’ve replaced the front inner tube. When putting the wheel back on, I noticed that there’s a gap of a couple of millimeters between the spacer and the right fork leg.
Do you think this is normal, or should the spacer be flush against the fork?
Could it be because I didn’t push the axle all the way in?
Thanks every one

Paolo

Ciao Paolo!
If you follow the procedure in the video posted by @AL_V above, once the axle lock nut is tightened, the position of the left leg of the fork can't be changed since the left axle holder is squeezed between the left wheel spacer and the aforementioned lock nut. At that point, the only thing that is free to move is the right axle holder. It doesn't need to be in the same spot in every motorcycle; the correct position for my Varg is not necessarily correct for yours. If you have followed some alignment procedure (e. g. locking the wheel like in that video or compressing the fork two or three times) and if the section of the axle pinched by the right axle holder can slide freely inside it, then it should move to the right spot.
There is no problem if there is a gap between the right spacer and the right axle holder, nor if the axle protrudes a little from the right axle holder; the important thing is that the fork has been aligned.
I recommend that you watch the following video because that guy explains the concept pretty well:
Notice how, at 5:10, he says that the blue YZ he uses an example «likes to be just barely inside of that lip»: basically every bike is different in that regard.
