Horn Kit

I got a "horn kit" for my EX from Stark today. Did anyone get any instructions on the installation? I just remembered to look back at the assembly video and it's there but light on detail. I guess I'll give it try this weekend.

The package didn't come with even a single piece of paper. Everything just thrown in the box rattling around...

I got one too… and this after they said that the US customers wouldn’t receive one because the phone functions as a horn. I’m confused.

Same here. Box of parts. I also looked back at the assembly video and didn't get much out of it.
I also looked at the website to see if they had a tutorial, nothing. Nothing on YouTube (that I could find) either.
Let us know how it goes.

Just a guess, maybe they actually heard the (correct) feedback that the phone horn was useless? When I heard it, I couldn't believe someone thought that was going to be good enough. A stock horn was a selling point for me, a feature I wanted for trail riding.

Yeah, unfortunately it really makes me question the decision-making of the Stark management. I mean, how long would it have taken to shoot some quick photos and write out an install process in a pdf and put a url in the box -- a few hours? Or god forbid -- a printed page. They're doing their customers a disservice. Do the slick version later, but at least give us something.

If I get time to try it this weekend, will post.

My EX arrived about 10 days ago, came with the horn attached to the frame under the spoiler in the front left (looking at the bike from front). I just had to connect the horn wire to the green plug in the junction box under the phone. The horn is LOUD. So loud that you can barely hear the phone horn that plays at the same time.

I have a horn kit being sent to me.
I’m more a visual person, could you post a pic or 2 as I’m not envisioning the “spoiler” and frame config...
Thanks in advance.

A guy made a video on YouTube about the horn installation. It's a bit vague with not that detail, but I was able to sort through it and get it installed. And yes, it's loud a hell. Only issue is, the Arkenstone horn still beeps at the same time, so you have this goofy stereo horn beep. I don't know if there's a way to disable the phone horn.

Box full of horn parts... Jesus. It is probably time for Stark to move their operations to Asia and save the Euro middle man. At least then it will at least come with unreadable instructions.

The last 3 shipments of things I have ordered from the Stark store haven't made it to me. They can't seem to even get addresses right. I see what goes into the online order form and when I get the online invoices after it is shipped, sure as shit it is incorrect. Asked them 3 times to fix the algorithm that is truncating address to no avail.

They must have reused the old Bultaco staff in the parts department. Soon everything will come with the rework marks of a ball peen hammer.

I found that out when I had the Arkenstone out of the bike and honked the horn. The Arkenstone will beep even out of the bike. The horn is so loud, though, that I can't hear the Arkenstone beep when it's on the bike.

The horn mount that came with the Varg didn't want to attach very well. I ended up using a couple washers to space it out. Works great now.
