Is 80 HP Bullsh*t ?

I’m thinking that the 80 HP map is mostly SMOKE AND MIRRORS. Here is why:

I did some full throttle runs in a grassy field. I did some in 60 Hp map and then some in 80 Hp separately so the app telemetry could record it.

The result on the Stark telemetry app showed very little difference between 60 Hp and 80 Hp. It looks like it’s about 5 Hp. The difference seems to be the mapping / throttle sensitivity… Smoke and mirrors.

I would love someone with a 60 Hp Varg try the same test. Im waiting for Starks reply on this. I may put my Stark on a Dyno to see.

I just got mine. After changing it up a bit, I don't think 80Hp is needed in most cases. However, I asked for all 75Hp my Aprilia SXV550 had in deep sand racing RallyMoto. My guess is you need something more to push against to reach that line. A grassy field may not be enough to fully load it. Have Fun!

The one I rode (all clean/dry pavement) was definitely 80hp, way more powerful than my Alta in map 4. I noticed that "100%" settings (power and regen) on that Varg varied from mode to mode (all at 80hp nominal). 100% power was definitely not 80hp in mode 1, and 100% regen in mode 3 felt much weaker than mode 2?, I think. I believe this bike was still on the original FW.

Based on your recent posts, if it feels weaker at 100% power in every mode, seems to me like your Varg has become a non-Alpha 60hp model.

You'd need to dyno it to find out.

I can use that 80HP for supermoto =P. They say you can't overheat the battery I'd like to try =P

I thought spending an extra $1000 was bullshit because I know I suck too much to use it. I ordered the 60hp one. Still try to get 20 more HP out of a gas bike for $1000. It's a bargain if you can use it.

The inner tubes are bullshit.

the Stark Varg is real , your ability to use 80hp is the Bullsh*t.
I never said my Stark wasn’t real. My post was a continuation of another post in which I said my stark felt down on power, making the point that my stark hasn’t felt as strong as it once did. So I did full throttle runs in a wide open field and observed the telemetry.

Very little ability required to do that. Even yourself, with your limited intellect, should understand that….maybe.

The results on the Varg phone telemetry kind of backs up what I was feeling and saying in the title. There is not a 20 Hp difference between the two settings (60Hp & 80hp) ACCORDING to the phone telemetry at wide open throttle.

Stark got back to me about this and said that this will change once the app allows us to customize the power curve. Oddly, the stark app crashed on me the next day and the app wouldn’t allow anything over 60Hp…almost like the race mode was on, it wasn’t.

Once that got sorted out with new firmware, everything seems to be working better.

Oh, by the way you don’t know me or my abilities so go take a couple of Midols and feel better.😉

That last App update was a mess I got stuck in a "demo ride mode". Send photos of the HP curve above 60 so we know its fixed now, thanks.

Oh, and I wanna know about the inner tubes...
EZ one there. They suck. I replaced mine with IRC heavy duty. The plastic ones lasted about 4 rides in the trail and enduro. They did not like hard log crossings at all.

On a positive note thought, the Pirellis are surprisingly good and I am keeping them on at least till they are worn out. Much better than expected.

If you put a Tesla on an frozen lake, you won't be able to record its 400-1000hp in any telemetry because of its traction control.

Same with the Supra. You'd have to strap it to the dyno with racheting tie-downs.

The stock Varg develops it max power at 55mph. At that speed you are either traction-limited or wheelie-limited. You'd either have to use a dyno or gear the bike up by at least 20% to see 80hp without traction or wheelie issues.
