As far as i knew all KTM wheels should fit these bikes. The KTM wheels i had lying about all fitted.

However i now have ordered a 17' front wheel, with KTM spacers also perfect in centre, however the brake disc is 2mm too far outwards...
Have i been stupid and missed there are 2 kinds of KTM wheels with different disc offset or do i have a misproduction?

Yeah this is why i'm so surprised. I know KTM used different axle thickness and spacers, but with the proper spacers all wheels fitted al bikes. That this has a different offset for the brake disc is puzzling. Maybe a mistake at the aftermarket supplier...

Check with the folks that made your new wheels. My SM 17" wheels were actually ordered for my KTM EXC and fit my Varg perfectly.

@FYR for what year EXC are your wheels?
I will contact them monday.

The KTM front discs are the same size and are interchangeble with Beta and Stark (on both i have used KTM discs in the past). When i offset the wheel 2mm they slide perfect in the brake caliper. Anyhow the thickness is the same so even if they are wildly different i shouldn't have this issue.

I agree that there's been no change in KTM wheels for a long time. I'm sure you've already consider this, but just in case:

Try swapping to different spacers... maybe they're a little tight and not fully seating
Will the caliper not slide in or out enough to accomodate 2mm?
Maybe the rotor on the 2017 wheel was set for SM or oversized rotors. Try your existing rotor on the new wheel?

Spacers slide in perfectly. Wheel perfect in center but the disc is 2mm too far out. This is the same with the 260mm OEM rotor, 260 KTM rotor and 320mm KTM rotor.

Other spacers move the issue. I have other spacers that slide the rotor to perfect center in the caliper, but wheel is then 2mm out of center.

they do fit but uggggh
shop around
yeagh i could use my husky wheels too
is the rotor fowling?
or just spoke a decent rim onto the stock hub
True, but again, should fit as is. Was a bit late sending pictures to the supplier, but i'm waiting for their answer.
A local wheel specialist says he can center it for me. If the supplier doesn't help i could always do that.

The OEM hub is still in the OEM rim since it's mainly my MX/Enduro bike.
