Melted UK charger plug

I have seen pictures of american plugs with bad connections but the uk plug is moulded on so no way of checking.
Charged my stark but there was a funny smell, only noticed as I went to unplug it.

That has to be a fire hazard.

The outlet looks fine, always noticed the charger plug does get warm plugged in in the garage or when using a generator.

This after yet more issues with the bike it really is one thing after another, Risking burning the house down is a step too far.

Wow! That is a lot of heat generated around the fuse.
I would suspect corrosion or a poor connection around the fuse.
The fuse is a 13A so it could possibly get very hot before it would blow.

Not suprising I can not get any sence out of stark when you get replies like this.....
"The picture you provided clearly shows that the fuse has burnt, which indicates it performed its intended function. There is no reason to believe the charger itself was damaged, as it is also equipped with overload protection. Replacing the cable should fully restore its proper functionality and safety remains unaffected."

The fuse is actully not even blown, I put a meter on it to check, The charger only turned off because the battery was fully charged.
I am insisting they replace the complete charger because clearly there is a safety issue, stark want to just send me a new lead.

Well who knows is it just a problem with the actual plug or connections or is it something in the charger which you would think has a lot more to go wrong that caused this.
The way I see it is the more of it you replace the less chance there is of this happening again or worse it turning in to a fire, clearly the person answering from stark has not got a clue.
As replace the lead it might be better to replace the plug with a good quality non moulded plug we can see has good connections

Wow. That is scary. Glad it wasn't worse.

I'd want to be certain of the cause of that and a proper fix before I used that charger again.
