Looking for a charger for my Alta mxr. Mine was damaged in the hurricane. Thank you.
There are two internal fuses in the standard charger. I have had those blow in other applications. Once replaced the fuse the charger worked fine.Would anyone know how to diagnose a malfunctioning charger? I have a slow charger that might be repairable I would be happy to donate if someone could take a look at it. I appears to work fine, the fan turns on, the bike recognizes it and says it's charging, but it doesn't charge. It is possible it was my bike, but a rapid charger is working with my bike.
If you can't fix it, Elcon in Sacramento should be able to fix or replace it. When I talked to them a couple of years ago, they said they could repair them. It may (probably) entail replacing the guts with new. The standard charger is a PFC charger in a different case with a CAN bus adaptor.I'll crack it open today and see what I find.
Talk to Elcon in Sacramento, pretty sure, but don't know absolutely, that the Alta Fast Charger is based on the Elcon UHF charger. If it is, and they should be able to tell you if it is, they can fix or replace it.Looking for a charger for my Alta mxr. Mine was damaged in the hurricane. Thank you.
Sayyed at Elcon is pretty backlogged. Also his team is usually not understanding of situation. I would recommend emailing Sayyed first.Talk to Elcon in Sacramento, pretty sure, but don't know absolutely, that the Alta Fast Charger is based on the Elcon UHF charger. Syed, is the importer of elcon chargers in Sacramento. The standard Alta charger is based on the elcon charger and I think the fast charger is also. He should be able to help you fix or replace the Alta charger.Who is syed? Mine isn't working either. Dead in the water. : (
Actually I was able to fix it last night there was a loose wire in the GFI. However I would really love to have another charger that I could somehow fit into a backpack where I could go on a long ride and charge it at the end destination. Is there any way he would be able to provide something that could fit into a backpack?Syed, is the importer of elcon chargers in Sacramento.
