Greetings, AOF Members!

This week we reached 1,000 members. This is a great milestone, especially for the fans of a motorcycle manufacturer that closed its doors three years ago. The fact that we are growing is evidence of the untapped market demand for electric dirt bikes. This demand will get filled, eventually. As existing electric dirt bike owners, we would love this to happen sooner, rather than later. And for that, I think we should plan to grow our community, open our doors, and welcome other motorcycle manufacturers who want to make electric dirt bikes for us.

There are already some new electric dirt bikes out there, and more are coming, and pretty soon we will be talking about them here on this forum.

The time has come for a new Forum name that would reflect our true common interest. As Alta Redshift owners, our common interest definitely has to do with riding off-road, motocross, enduro, trail riding, and supermoto. We can talk about street electric bikes too, but dirt is where our passion is. We have dirty minds!

We will also need a new domain name. Domain forwarding is easy. But I would like to try to make the forum work with either the old or the new domain name. The current Alta Owners Forum name is still near and dear to us all. We will have the new name and also the Alta Owners Forum name in the description. Google search will have no trouble locating us. I have seen it work very well. We will have both logos up top and more categories and sub-forums for other electric dirt bike manufacturers.

Please share your ideas for the New Forum Name here. As soon as we have a handful of good ideas, I will create a multiple-choice poll.

We will also need a domain name that is not taken. If you have a good idea for that too, PM me, and I will try to buy it before announcing it in public.

Let's announce to the world that we want New Electric Dirt Bikes!

I will share a couple of ideas:

Electric Motocross Forum
e-MX Forum

emxforum.com
emotocross.com

I thought of "Electric Dirt Bike Forum" too, but I think it is so generic that Google search will keep showing generic search results first. The name has to be slightly unique, else no single person will remember it. There is a reason why Amazon.com is successful but bigonlinestore.com is not.

Great forward thinking.

eMoto.com
eBikeGarage.com
eBikers.com

and my favorite

Electric Hooligans
I haven't checked Electric Hooligans, but the other three domains are taken.

I can always try adding "forum.com" at the end, but would these be good domain names?

Besides the domain name, we are also looking for a new forum name, which may or may not be the same thing.

I actually like eMotoForum.com

But this also opens doors to all street bikes, such as Zero, Livewire, Energica, Sondors, and uncountable others that we have never even talked about.

Is this a good thing? Do we want to become like a dozen of already existing electric motorcycle forums out there?

Or do we want to stick primarily with Alta-like dirt bikes?

Maybe

Electric Moto Riders

So we catch the supermoto guys
Those supermoto guys are very few, but they are also very smart. I think they would stick with a forum that beast covers their manufacturer. I do not think they would need the door made any wider for them. Heck, we have a few SM owners here already, myself including, and they do not complain about us riding in the dirt! Also, part of their courses has often been dirt, including the jumps. Yes, of course electric supermoto riders will be very welcomed.

I think I like ElectricDirtRiders the most! And second choice is BatteryPowered (Motocross or Riders). Also I think the any of the acronyms would also be pretty good EDR BPM BPR, especially for a logo. And not sure how the search engines work but if we have tags or keywords that will catch a search, any name could work.

Philip, what ever name works for you. If you want to increase traffic then make it electric riders (electricriders.com) that will encompass dirt and Street ebikes. Just put in different sections for the different manufactures and you can also have a home garage built section.
