Alta Motors Has Its First Recall

Thanks for the link. I was curious when NHSTA was going to get involved. Total power failure can lead to significant safety concern for any vehicle on the road. Good to see Alta responding quickly.

I rolled my throttle forward while riding today, on purpose. Nothing happened.

If/when my rapid charger arrives, I will be making a trip to the dealer to pick it up and flash the new firmware. Or maybe the @WoodsWeapon's personal Alta mechanic could flash is. Next weekend we will be having a 2-day Alta demo in Michigan, he will be there.

You still dont have your rapid charger?
Be sure to have your generator close. The battery in his laptop doesn’t hold a charge and needs to be plugged in at all times. Oh the irony!

Martin MX, near Martin, MI. It is an awesome track, same dirt as at Red Bud, but with shorter straightaways and more doable jumps. You and Dan should carpool!

For reference, NHTSA did not "get involved." We reached out to them because we wanted to put our best foot forward and get their help to take care of this issue.
