Stark secret stash spot

I am looking for a spot on the Stark to stash some tools, a tow strap, maybe an emergency jacket. Behind the number plate seems like an option but it's tricky to access and to mount a bag in there.

Has anyone tried this and found a good solution?

I use this fender bag on the front fender. I used to use it on my rear fender of my Husky but the Stark's rear fender is too pointy for it to work.
I do notice the extra weight up front but am still grateful not to be wearing it in a camelback/backpack. Pricey but very rugged at $79

I have also been using that bag. I'm finding that it's ok on the back but I'm using straps, not the bungees that it came with.

But I do want to store about half that much behind the number plate.

Lots of options for adding bags. Number plate bags (lots of options because they are popular with the snowbike crowd), and various mini saddlebag, fender bag and tank bag options from a lot of manufacturers like Mosko Moto, Wolfman Luggage, Giant Loop, etc. Depends on how much you want to carry, where you want the weight, how accessible you want the contents, etc.

How about using a Butterfly screw for the number plate?

That way you can take it off in seconds and mount a decent pocket of some sort.
