Stark throttle/hand grip

I wanted to ask other riders of the Stark how they grip the throttle It seems for me I have to way over grip the throttle to keep my elbows up where there supposed to be so when I give it full throttle but hers the problem when I chop the throttle my hand is way too far forward not giving me the ideal position to grip throttle when slowing down and it gets sketchy the only way I could fix this is either set up a custom map where full throttle comes on much earlier or ramps up faster if that makes any sense or if there was a aftermarket throttle that had less rotation to reach full open, let me know what you guys think but I do know it helps big time if I turn the power way up like to at least 40 plus hp and it also makes it easier to pop front end up please comment on this thanks Robert

Personally, I struggle in general to keep my elbows high and I fell discomfort when I need to twist my wrist much. I can't customize maps yet on my MX 1.0 and one of the reasons I keep power settings probably higher than what I need is that by doing so I will get the power I want limiting the right hand rotation. I have this problem mainly when standing before jumps.

Are you riding with a finger on the front brake all the time?

There is no aftermarket throttle available (yet) that would accomplish this and basically this wouldn't be necessary as Stark could do that electronically within the setup. Unfortunately they decided not to offer that until now even though it seemed to be an option for a future upgrade - maybe some time.

What you can do though, is change the virtual throttle play - basically that slightly changes the position of the magnet in regard to the throttle stop at idle and will cause a more immediate reaction to twisting the throttle grip. This makes quite a difference in how the power comes on and to an extend also on how far you have to twist for WOT. Obviously this is a bit of a hack and you should be quite confident in your mechanical skills before attempting that on something as crucial as you throttle!!!

This is not the stock throttle tube, but a Berm lock on adapter on an ODI throttle grip, but the same principle applies to the stock unit. The farther out you turn the screw, the more immediate the pickup will be. Nevertheless if you go too far the Varg will not let you start up the bike and display a constant red light for a throttle input error.

Yes standing makes it worse

I rarely cover the front brake anymore mainly just my rear brake with the hand lever with one finger as I can easily lock up the rear tire with one finger and as I'm learning my ways with this bike I find running 40 plus hp with about 50 to 60 rejen braking basically more power more regen that makes it so I am not having to go wide open as much . then I'm hardly braking much and also where's that screw on the stark throttle thanks Robert
