I have made it clear that I am not employed by Stark Future nor am I a fan of the company. I am not defending the bike. It is not a secret that it is not a reliable machine and that it has water ingress problems.

It is just that you are a constant complainer -- even before you received your bike. You don't seem like the kind of guy that likes the "bleeding edge", yet that is exactly where you went.

Edit: typos
Spending £11000 on a bike that does not do what it is supposed to do gives me the right to be a "constant complainer" if that is what you want to call it. I have had the bike over a year now and problem have not been fixed it is 3 years since we saw videos of working bikes, I accept there might be issues at first but this is not moving forward.

I asked others who got bikes before I had to commit to post up issues so I knew what to expect I feel it right to do the same for others who are considering getting one now. I have given loads of people a go on our stark and most have been impressed with it maybe even bought one.

I do not get the impression you have bought a stark ? If you had I think your view would be a lot different.

IMHO everybody should be allowed to write what they think provided they don't offend the others. Albeit you sound annoyed, you don't sound offensive to me and therefore IMHO there is no problem with what you write, although I don't always agree with you.

I don't want to sound like a broken record player either but, personally, I am a Stark fan because they are the only company which is trying to change this IMO unacceptable situation in which if you want to do motocross you have to do a lot of preventive maintenance to gas bikes; the Stark typically doesn't need much at all; there are some unlucky people who had to replace the power unit, but as far as I've understood, that's not the typical case, but rather an exception.
My experience, so far, is that after 44 h I have done way way less maintenance than I would have with gas bikes. Besides, eventually, thanks to this lower maintenance, I have been able to ride with a certain frequency and it looks like I am eventually making some progress as a rider; it does take time but the confidence and the skills are growing!! I am so happy about this!!

I don't believe that Stark has been created only to make money out of us and I think that they are honestly passionate people who believe in the mission described above and in other missions to change motocross.

I think you are right, we are all entitled to have an opinion and it is a shame that for some the experience has been ruined. I have had issues with BMW for example which have never been sorted under warranty ( Frame got rusty after one winter and no riding during winter ) 18k bike , they refused the claim. So I had to PPC the frame and sell the bike so id doesn't get written off... beyond this point I know a lot of people with dirt bikes like you said who are fed up with maintenance issues and also the high costs associated to this... I am happy with mine so far and it is an unreal piece of kit.
Stark is offering 2 years warranty and from what I read they stand behind their product and their customer service , I also would like to see them grow the business and become a great name in the off road and maybe on road markets.

It has long been evident that you are not bleeding edge tolerant -- neither am I. I gave you a "heads up" and you ignored it. And no, I did not buy a Varg. The next bike I buy will be this --

Really? With no 6 speed transmission? Lame, lol (forgive the off-topic post but I could not resist).

Back to the Varg, agree with the early adopter sentiment, has its rewards as well as risks. I'm still on the sidelines waiting for a 240 lb-er from one of the major OEM's, or Stark in a year or two if they are still a viable business at that point.

Although the new lower Varg pricing is mighty tempting.

I do appreciate all you early adopters though.

Hey, the Varg is a one speed :)

I have had hondas and suzukis.. have a soft spot for zooks -- always a good deal and never let me down.

I plan to use it for for a mix of city riding and mountain trails in Croatia along with roads connecting the trails. Should be fine for that -- prefer it to adventure bikes which I consider too heavy. For electrics we always have interesting stuff we are developing so my electric box is pretty much ticked.
