The perfect piece, brake spring

I’m sure it’s been a topic & done.
But I use these in all my race bikes for backup - it’s just perfect for the Alta pedal —/

I like your idea but I worry about the negative effects a spring could have on the boot which keeps out all manor of crud. I took a slightly different tac and mounted a spring from the pedal itself to a small offset bracket mounted to one side case screw. It gives much better return and no danger of chaffing the rubber boot.
