OSET is certainly a successful junior brand, but their bikes are fairly primitive. Their lithium battery packs failed regularly (we had approx 50% failure rate from the 10 Oset 24's we bought) and of course, it was never their fault. You then had to pay to get it looked at by OSET UK and more often than not, they would advise that it couldn't be repaired but would immediately offer to exchange / sell you a refurbished battery pack for £600. . . .presumably a refurbed one from another customer who had also been told that their battery pack was beyond repair (!). Let's hope Triumph adds a more robust level of sophistication to their tech and service.

Osets's DC drives are ANCIENT technology. Was dissapoited in our 20R. Even after sending the control back for a software update the respone was still far from what it could have been with an aftermarket controller. Its just not that hard to do fast DC current regulation (I do this stuff for a living.) Don't know why they had such a hard time w/ it. Hopefully Triumph can bring them up to date w/ AC drives and better control algorithms.
