Uploading SM maps to the EX?

Since the SM has a built in charger, will the external charger on an EX still work if we change to the SM FW? If so will the speed be the same or do the charging CAN commands slow down the charge because of the smaller SM charger?

I was also worried about that.
This is why ן think, it will be smarter to load only the inverter fw of the SM into the EX.
For some reason, both SM and EX use the same inverter fw.
