Not sure how many bikes are already paid in full, do you have some info on that?
If they have a container full for a specific destination, probably about 40 bikes, they will ship it.
What do you think they gain by NOT shipping?

From what I've read on these forums and around the internet, most bikes in the first 3 shipping batches (was feb, march, april) were paid in full. thats between 2000 and 3000 bikes according to production line estimates based on VIN numbers. In the video above Anton explains that the production line is built for a certain capacity and would only ever change slightly, hence we can estimate 1000 bikes a month to be fairly constant.

What benefit do they have gain by not shipping you ask.
- market impact. Stark has used this technique many times now. Strategic timing of certain announcements (Anton touches on this also in the above interview)
- customer satisfaction, avoids customers further down the list being upset seeing many others with their product already.
- quality assurance. as i mentioned in my earlier post, perhaps there is a minor component with a quality or supply chain issue.
- product availability. By building many of the pre-orders before shipping them out in a large batch, Stark avoids a backlog of orders for their product when demand for the product is highest, right after it hits the market. So all the potential buyers that see the bike around are not put off by long delivery estimates.

I would bet my house that they have more than 40 bikes built for a particular destination. They are just not sending that shipping container yet for any of the above reasons or others.

My guess is that their production capacity is about 1000 bikes a month, including both Varg MX and EX. Of course with EX being a new model, no stock at the dealers, sold out for the next few months and with a much bigger market, I would assume they make much more EX than MX at the moment.

They would definitely stock up before they send the bikes overseas but I don't see them stockpiling many bikes ready for truck delivery in Europe. Most simple explanation for me is that if they're not sending them it's because they're not ready. Can't see the benefit of stopping all February deliveries to wait for a critical mass in March, angering "February customers", plus even later deliveries seem to have shifted. It's all just guessing and I'm definitely not a marketing guy so take that for what it's worth.

US VIN 2280 for Varg EX

They have built serious stock before starting deliveries.

I have a bike with vin 2400 sent last week. Seems the first 2000 units were sent to the US.

My EX delivered in Austria in April has the VIN 13XX - seems like the VINs are all over the place.

It's possible that gray bikes were the first to be delivered.

April US VIN over 2000 doesn't really tell us how many they've sent overseas vs how many they've kept for Europe.

Though that implies that they had built over 2000 EX bikes by March, and they've likely had sizeable pre orders.

Can't wait for a "real road play bike" with onboard charger, this could have some serious potential to broaden the customer base.

im looking at the tracking status and it arrived yesterday at my local customs, should be ready for delivery this week, im just waiting the call for the transport company. Stark sent my bike on April 4, the transport company is the one to blame here for the delay

good point, im from Spain but not from the Mainland, im from Canary Islands, wich belong to Spain
