What is this part used for?

I had this part left over in my Stark Varg EX accessories box. It was in a small bag and it had no description. I did a google search and it I see it's an OBD Connector Adapter. Does anyone know what it's used for?

What about OBDII access! With one of those OBD dongles and the according adapter cable (red plug is "Euro5 OBDII") you can use an app on your phone to read fault codes and live engine data like RPM, temps and such. There are already a few threads about that here.

Yep its OBDII cable. I believe its required to be sent out to EU customers. 99% of them will never use it.
