So I do stand most of the time but when riding with Grandkids or just wanting to sit to relax the stock STARK ex seat suks so I have narrowed down to the S/C or Guts Racing seat I wonder which one is more soft any ideas from recently buying these seats thanks .

One thing I don't like about the stock seat is that the top is so rounded, resulting in "line contact."
I asked Guts, and they said their seats are the same shape as stock.
So I went with the seat concepts comfort foam and cover.
I am happy with it, but it is a lot of money ($266 w/shipping+tax), considering you still have to strip the old cover and foam off, and reassemble it yourself.

I was gunna buy the complete seat

I put a lot of hours on dirt bikes per year. I am a big fan of the SC comfort seat. I have them on all my bikes. I can say without a doubt that it’s a massive upgrade especially on the Stark!

I actually found out about them when I put my first one on a KTM 300. My latest bikes are a Stark MX and just added a EX. The Starks are so dam good I’m having a hard time going back to my others lol!

I did both of them with the new (DYI) new foam and covers and it’s not difficult. Doing it this way saves about $100 over the complete seat which so far SC doesn’t offer for the Stark comfort seat. On the Starks, not only is it way more comfortable when sitting but what is also really unique is that when standing which I do primarily, the SC seat is narrow right where it needs to be to keep you centered over the bikes pegs and exactly where you grip the bikes sides with your legs. The rear of your legs also line up with where the seat starts to flare outwards. This helps lock you in even better almost like what Steg pegs do if that makes sense.

Then to add, when transitioning from standing to an aggressive proper seated position, this same narrowed forward section keeps you properly positioned when seated into corners as well.

So in conclusion, if you’re riding a Stark in the proper aggressive attack position whether standing or sitting, the Seat Concepts seat IMHO has been designed just right for maintaining excellent body positioning! You don’t have to get a ribbed seat like so many think with this tapered design.

I bought the Guts RJ wing seat, first time I've tried that version but owned many standard guts seats in the past. It took some getting used to, but now I really like it. It makes the bike, which is already so easy to stay standing on, even easier - especially those long uphill accelerations when you need something to brace with like steg pegs. It's comfortable enough when sitting but probably not as good as the seat concepts. I prefer tall medium, but soft might do the trick for you.
