I find this exact same situation trail riding on very slippery ice or snowy conditions or on extremely muddy steep hills. It's a PITA trying to creep down a really steep muddy hill and the regen is too much then trying to add throttle to keep the rear wheel from skidding. For dry conditions it seems to work pretty good for me as is though.I find ice pretty sketchy on my EXR due to too much Regen braking. I wish it was lower or even non-existent in map1. There is no ability to pull the clutch and coast on super slick sections so I have found myself in the situation of having wheelspin on throttle and lock up off throttle trying desperately to hold my hand in that perfect position to coast. A couple of times I have had to hit the kill switch to get the bike back under control as that kills the Regen and lets it actually coast.
Fun also in deeper snow.
The SM had much lower Regen in map1. I tried to buy a laptop hoping I could work on adjusting the maps but failed to get one.
I don't know what you mean with blast. This a kit from Canada and the battery holds about half an hour of really funny drifting. I'll put a short video in the video section. What kind of run time do you get with the track setup? Looks like a blast!!

Very true.
Maps 1 and 2 on the SM have almost no regen. Map 4 have a very strong regen.
Had these maps on my EX for some reason. After updating the fw, they were gone..
FW update that @Judaslefourbe mentioned awhile back updated those maps and firmware correctly.
