Yamaha patented a mechanical clutch. Zero just patented an electric clutch. Perhaps, I should patent a mechanical and electric LHRB on an electric bike.

I thought this might be an interesting video for this forum. For a while I had been using regen thumb throttles and I love haven full control over regenerative braking whenever I want. However I found on long downhill sections it tires me out using the regen thumb throttle because you have to...

I think the Arctic Leopard EXE880 has something like an electric clutch lever already. Yamaha should just hurry up and build an electric dirt bike there are so many conversions out there like my WR250E. They got the chassis they just need the powertrain.
We have had the Left hand regen on our bikes for a couple years, when we switched to the EBMX controller.
The X-9000 V2 Controller also has an Electronic Clutch, but I preferer the Regen. We also had discussions with ReKluse several years
ago. But because of the high RPMs and the amount of Torque the motor was producing is was not going to be cost affective to produce
a clutch and then add it on to the already high price of the Bike. A really snappy start can be programed in or out of the controller.
