Starks factory riders had been racing the 7.2 kWh battery about 6 months before MX1.2 release, that's all there is to it.
That's how Herbreteau finished 30 min MX Elite pro races, all 12 of them this year.

A 7.2 kwh battery and factory backing would get you there ,
but so would a regular gas bike.
I think the 1.2 should make it at least viable as a race bike for most.

Could be more than 7.2 prototype cells etc could even have an extra bank of cells stashed on the bike, I bet stark have been desperate to increase range because a mx bike that can not complete a mx race is nothing short of perthetic.
Doubt they would got much past half distance on our bikes.

I find it irrelevant .
I can not buy a 1.2 anyway yet,
and basically if you want to be a nerd sit on your couch saying how fast the bike is,
The stark is for you.
If you want a reliable race bike just get anything else
Maybe one of those 30 year old japanese bikes everyone keeps comparing them too,
at least you can finish races on them.
The stark does make a exceptional practise bike though.

Our bikes (1.0) have proven to get about 20-25 minutes on the hardest of tracks in the hands off really fast sand riders. So more than half the distance. The 20% extra claim on the 7.2 makes that 24 to 30, wich is still 8 to 2 short. In the hard pack or light sand i think the 7.2 will finish in the hands of a pro.

Also pretty much in line with their claims. The newest range video's they claim a range of 35 and 38 minutes on medium and hard pack with a pro at the bars.
That is pretty concistent with what we see out here.

True enough on the pro level. But for me as a mere mortal that started MX/Enduro too late in my live the Stark is the fastest bike i can get. In MX it outlasts me and does the distance i would need in MX racing (since i can't drain it in 1 moto and we can charge enough in between).
I had the luck to test a lot of bikes, but on none of those i was as fast as on the Stark.

So for me it gives me the best lap times, wich i can do the longest sessions on and i'm able to finish. That kinda makes it the fastest bike i can buy doesn't it?

However it was about 2% short for finishing my 2 hour CrossCountry race today. I did expect it to do far less to be honest, that's why the 300 was there to swap to.

The future of the sport is shorter moto's, and more of them (3). The triple crown is a proven winner in SX and it's the historic origin of the sport. Last night's 450 SMX final got boring, they are just too long. It's just a matter of time, instead of making e-bikes to be heavier to go longer, you will see that the reason the big OEM's don't release e-bikes is because they can't make them work either, nowhere close.

The 1.2 should get me where I need to be .
Less some weight would get me where I want to be.
Each to there own .I am talking about racing the bike,
not watching it go around ie the couch comment.
Since the last update my bikes function and reliability
has improved immensely.
I would rather race in a all electric class
more credible too, same machinery.

Some patience is required.
