Mistake is maybe too harsh of a word, path travelled is a better one. Can’t give you details on a public forum, but knowing what doesn’t scale, where the traps are in production or quality etc.

Stark did many things very well and also followed many wrong "paths".
Adopting the first and avoiding the latter is the obvious choice, but perhaps it's not so clear cut.

Good luck with the new project. Never forget that motorcycles are made for racing.

We have a saying that translates to "Where there's chopping there will be chips" with the chips being mistakes/incidents. That applies strongly to anywhere work is done, especially to where new people are doing new kinds of chopping.
Being "first" is a blessing and a curse.
