2020 Honda CRF 450 Build

Man that’s awesome.

I’ve got a bike I’m working on upgrading. 2017 crf250r already converted. But currently running a bac8000 with a diy small 72v 34ah battery.

I’d like to for sure move to a larger battery for more range, I know there are also better controllers. And the 96v to 72v move intrigues me.
Thanks for responding - do you get your batteries from Amorge.
Yes, Amorge builds fantastic batteries. Let me know if you need help ordering from them.

Hello @VINSANITY

Very nice build! Looks sharp.

My bikes are running 58ah batteries at 72v. The Votol and the EBMX give about the same range. The large capacity of the battery is the big contributor. I'm building two bikes right now that will use Reliance RS500 cells. These new batteries should bump up the capacity to 60ah with the same form factor. I'll keep you posted.

I buy my EBMX parts from sales@xemx.com in Florida. Mark is a really great guy and takes care of his clients. Say hi to Mark for me.

Hope this helps,
Dave
Dave is there a real reason you are doing 72v vs 96?

The Votol Controllers are rated for 72v. The new EBMX X-9000 v3 is rated for higher voltage. I have a v3 coming soon and will try it at 120v to see how it runs.
That makes sense. I’m pretty new to all this and it seems that most the builds are 72v

Mine is also, using a BAC8000

But I’m planning a much larger capacity battery and while doing so it just seems to make sense to upgrade everything to 96v. Or it makes sense to me.
