    petrol motorcycle to e-moto conversion

I just came across your post. I have done a lot of KX80,85, 100 and YZ85 size bikes. I use the QS138 70H V3 motor, a Votol EM150SP controller, and a 72V 34-40AH battery (20S8P for 36AH Molicel P45B cells, or 20S10P with Samsung 50S cells 50AH 40 miles range on road and trail). Here is one...

Yet another CRF 250 Build but its my first so... ;)

I am building the 2023 Duke 790 bike with a FarDriver. 96V controller. When I finish, maybe I will get one of the Votol EM260S 96V models and try it. I should start on the battery soon for this bike. I have been very happy with the 72V Votol controllers.

Hal I have seen them advertised on Aliexpress, but not by an reputable store. the Siaecosys store, Dun Store, QS Store They do not give the Maximum Voltage. 96V is nominal voltage. I would love it if we could use Votol. I am very comfortable with Votol controller

The main reason a lot of us do 72V is because the convenience of the parts. More controller options in 72V, like Votol. They do not have a 96V EM260S. There are Aliexpress stores that sell them, but I emailed Harry at QSMotors.com and they say there are no 96V EM260S controllers. Batteries...

    For Sale Far Driver ND84680 kit 84V 15KW 680PA Controller + Amorge 84V 32AH Battery

This battery would easily fit in a YZ85 with a QS138 70H V3 motor. The controller would work well also. I have a 10”x 10” x 7” battery in my YZ85. It also will fit almost any steel frame Yamaha YZ250-450 frame. Plus a lot of other frames. It is a great price for what it is.

    KX100 Electric Pit Bike

To anyone reading about this build, it is now about 3 1/2 years later, and the owner of the first KX80 here that I built this for never got the frame powder coated, but was out riding it last weekend. It is still running great with all the original components, except the controller. He went to...

another Honda CR-e build?, nope its a Suzy!

There are a couple of ways to get out of Park. If you momentarily touch the 2 leads in connector G above it will take you out of Park, and if you touch it again it will go into Park. Or if you go to the Port settings Page in the software, and at box PD1 select 1: Empty_Func instead of 17...

There are so many color changes. Here are the color of the main harness. (Schematic middle) You had the wiring long Harness in your Post, and the last one I will show is a Surron type throttle wires. And if you get them wrong there is not been any damage, it just doesn't work

Why not 96 volts instead of 72?

Very true Theo. I have experience, and still have to be very cautious. I have had a few accidents with building batteries and repairing them. Everyone do be cautious, and use safety equipment, Googles, gloves, apron, And as a word of caution, Lithium fires cannot be put out by normal fire...

You are welcome. There are a lot of choices. I still really like the product Amorge builds. Good luck on you build.

I wouldn't split the connectors that way. There is an antispark resistor in the connector, that does help. There is also a label on the connector for + an- . I would wire them correctly, but just have 2. Your second statement is correct, I set my controller to go to Limp mode ( Votol Soft...

Here are the specs on the QS10 connector, and we are at the upper spec of the connector, of 170A continuous, and 500A Max Current

Just to answer your question, I typically do have 2 QS10 connectors, or on earlier bikes 2 Anderson connectors. For Performance bikes, bikes that guys are going to run hard, I split the battery to take advantage of 2 chargers, and share the output load, one for each 1/2 pack. But that also...

From my experience with batteries and Amorge, 1.) Pay for Air shipment, that take long enough by Air. 2.) Open discharge puts less heat in the battery. It already builds heat, and the Discharge MosFets add more. The controller will shut it off at 60V or whatever you set it to be. Then keep an...

Why not 96 volts instead of 72?

A friend know someone who had a defective Stark battery replaced. He purchased it and removed the batteries. He said he got about 350 good cells and used them for another project. He gave me the box, and left over parts. I can build a 2 wide 21700 cell battery inside. My goal is to fit 410...
