
If I did something that simple, I’d for sure damage it, something drop on it, run it over or fall off the tailgate of my truck.

Yes, you need to let the charger cool. Or you can cut holes in the Pelican case like this if you don't mind the dirt and the dust that will get in.Wondering, do you have to keep the pelican case open for venting while using it? Not so foolproof then, but easier to carry around.

It was an easy job, although I didn't mount any cable stays. I just put paint on the bottom of the 4 posts and marked the spot to drill and used the original screws. There was too much loose stuff and that bulky stand which is hard to get the bike on, now I am back to my step lift stand.Northern Tool 16” Strongway case == Harbor Freight Apache 3800 case ;-)
I really like your idea to move the charger to one side and create one large storage compartment for all the cables, adapters, and extension cords!
