Wondering, do you have to keep the pelican case open for venting while using it? Not so foolproof then, but easier to carry around.
Yes, you need to let the charger cool. Or you can cut holes in the Pelican case like this if you don't mind the dirt and the dust that will get in.

I prefer Pelican cases because the two cables and their plugs can be quickly retrieved and then put back inside and remain clean and away from being stepped on, pinched, or damaged. I do not like them dangling around.

But if the weight and the compact size are the main considerations, then I would probably not use any case at all. Just cover/protect the tiny wires with something and call it a travel charger.

Yes, case remains open whilst charging.
I travel to different ride areas in my state with my bikes and gear, so I’ll need to take the charger with me, wherever the Varg goes. The case, I find, is a good balance of weight, portability, travel protection.
The stand Stark delivered with the bike is stupid heavy, too tall, not practical in the ride environs where and how I use my dirt bikes.

Northern Tool 16” Strongway case == Harbor Freight Apache 3800 case ;-)

I really like your idea to move the charger to one side and create one large storage compartment for all the cables, adapters, and extension cords!
It was an easy job, although I didn't mount any cable stays. I just put paint on the bottom of the 4 posts and marked the spot to drill and used the original screws. There was too much loose stuff and that bulky stand which is hard to get the bike on, now I am back to my step lift stand.
